Chart showing projected population for Oxford County to 20131

Oxford County has experienced relatively modest levels of growth over the past twenty years. However, a number of events have either occurred or will occur that will alter the County’s growth outlook. Its location in southern Ontario was strategically bolstered when highway 403 was extended westward from Hamilton to Woodstock in the mid 1990s. The County is now effectively located at the juncture of highways 401, 402 and 403 which serves much of the economy of southern Ontario.
